• Planned menus, procured food, cooked, and served three meals/day, did daily housekeeping services and lodge cleaning, and served as lodge hostess for guests. Responsible for maintenance of lodge, spa, and outbuildings, and general caretaking, cleaning and security of property and owners' homes. Seasonally cared for cattle, horses, and game birds. Responsible for reservations/bookings, promotions, retail sales and inventory, associated bookkeeping, monthly and annual reporting.
• Planned, planted and maintained organic vegetable garden, organic herb garden and fruit orchard. Responsible for upkeep of the landscaped grounds, irrigation system, fences, noxious weed control, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

• Head cook for a seasonal western guest ranch for 22 crew and 35 guests. Planned and prepared four meals a day, managed the kitchen and dining room staff, maintained the inventory and rotation of stock.

• Testing department manager and project manager for a computer sofware development and commercial website/database design company. Organization and oversight of the testing cycle in software development. Project manager on eleven commercial projects at the conclusion of the software development cycle.

• Designed and taught creative and business writing classes for adult ESL (English as a Second Language) students. Mentored the writing process for creative and business communications from concept through final editing and production.

• Third generation web site design, creation and installation. Managed the development of sites from concept through laying out the design and developing navigation, to final implementation of the site.
• Internet and intranet design consulting for corporate clients. Effective integration of internet/intranet technology in corporate culture, site strategy, corporate internet/intranet design, and technical issues in intranet site design.
• Additional duties included administrative functions and office oversight for two start-up companies.

• Web site design, HTML document creation and conversion, graphic design, desktop publishing, layout, editing, computer consulting, software installation and training, technical writing, and writing company-specific training manuals.
• Designed, researched, compiled, and maintained a large website for educators called "The Web as a Learning Tool."

• Developed PC and Unix-based computer applications and trained faculty and staff in the use of various network software. Designed, wrote, and produced departmental publications including training manuals, user manuals, handbooks, brochures, and newsletters. Served as a Banner Superuser for all module implementations through 1996.
• Responsibilities included initial advising of incoming undergraduate students majoring in Computer Science, undecided students assigned to the Department for advising, and monitoring student progress through the program. Trained new CS faculty in UI advising policies and procedures and served as a resource for undergraduate advisors.
• Additional duties included development and coordination of office procedures, recruitment, department promotion, documentation procedures, management of the chair's schedules and travel planning. Managed fiscal and material resources including preparing, managing, and regular reporting and projections of all grants, contracts, and budgets. Supervised, trained, and motivated irregular help and workstudy personnel in office and University procedures and policies.

• Taught introductory computer courses in DOS, WordPerfect, dBase III+, Lotus 1-2-3, and Basic programming. Wrote the departmental lab manual for CS100.

• Designed and taught introductory computer and WordPerfect courses for the Continuing Education program.

• Advised, instructed, and supervised teacher trainees in teaching strategies, motivation, elementary math methods, and educational psychology. Demonstrated elementary mathematical teaching methods in local public schools for videotape dissemination. Placed and supervised teacher trainees in eight school settings throughout the state, ensuring the needs of the cooperating teachers were met by motivated, professional trainees.

• Taught kindergarten through sixth grades.

• Qualified Tower, Radar and Marshal Control. First woman Aircraft Carrier Control Approach certified in the U.S. Navy. One tour as section supervisor of island Security Police. Naval Leadership/Non-commissioned Officer training, security procedures training, security clearances and telemetry training for missile tracking.

• Qualified Tower and Radar Control. Ground Control Approach radar training section supervisor. Naval Leadership/Non-commissioned Officer training. Member of the first all-female military ATC.

• Surgical assistant in large animal veterinary practice.
